A new government was crowned in the country’s capital Delhi. After Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation, Aam Aadmi Party changed the leadership. Atishi, who was the education minister in the Kejriwal government, took charge of Delhi. Atishi along with five other ministers took oath of office and secrecy at Raj Niwas in Delhi. Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Imran Hussain and Mukesh Ahlawat have become ministers in the new government.
Who is how educated?
Chief Minister Atishi is among the most educated faces in the cabinet. She has done MSc from Oxford University in 2006. Atishi has described herself as a social worker in the election affidavit. Apart from this, the educational qualification of two other ministers Gopal Rai and Kailash Gehlot is also postgraduate. Gopal Rai has described his profession as social service while Kailash Gehlot has described politics.
Two ministers Saurabh Bhardwaj and Imran Hussain have described their educational qualification as graduate professional. Saurabh Bhardwaj, a B.Tech in Computer Science, is a software consultant by profession. Imran Hussain has a bachelor’s degree in business studies and has described his profession as politics. At the same time, the new face in the government, Mukesh Ahlawat, is 12th pass and his profession is business.

The average age of the new cabinet of the Delhi government is around 46 years. 43-year-old Chief Minister Atishi, who won the Kalkaji seat in the 2020 assembly elections, is the youngest in the cabinet. Imran Hussain, MLA from Ballimaran seat, is just 18 days older than Atishi. 50-year-old Kailash Gehlot is the oldest in this cabinet. Kailash Gehlot is an MLA from Najafgarh. Apart from this, the age of three other ministers Saurabh Bhardwaj is 44 years, Mukesh Ahlawat is 48 years and Gopal Rai is 49 years.

Kailash Gehlot is at the forefront in terms of assets in the cabinet. In the 2020 election affidavit, Kailash declared his total assets as Rs 46.07 crore. In this case, the second place is held by MLA Mukesh Ahlawat from Sultanpur Mazra. Mukesh had declared his assets to be Rs 6.18 crore. In third place is MLA Imran Hussain from Ballimaran, whose assets in 2020 were Rs 1.413 crore. Chief Minister Atishi is in fourth place in terms of assets. In 2020, Atishi declared her total assets to be Rs 1.412 crore. At number five is Greater Kailash MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj. Saurabh’s assets in 2020 were Rs 1.09 crore. Gopal Rai is the one with the least assets in this cabinet. In the 2020 election affidavit, Babarpur MLA Gopal Rai declared his total assets to be Rs 90.01 lakh.

In the 2020 election affidavit, Atishi had informed about a case being registered against her. Apart from this, according to the 2020 affidavit, a case was also registered against Gopal Rai.
