The Railway Ministry has asked social media platform ‘X’ to remove some photos and videos of the stampede that took place at New Delhi Railway Station on February 15. These photos and videos include some pictures of women, some blood-soaked photos. 18 people were killed and many were injured in this accident. According to sources, this instruction was issued on February 16, a day after the incident.

According to sources, the social media platform was given 36 hours to remove the photos. Members of some families affected by the stampede requested the ministry to remove these photos. These families claim that the photos and videos are disrespectful to the dead and are very disturbing and traumatic for the survivors and their relatives.

According to sources, the ministry received only one photo from the concerned person who requested to remove it. After this, efforts were started to identify more such videos/photos. It was found that at least half a dozen such videos were in circulation. The Railways sent all these photographs to X and asked him to remove such photographs and videos from the platform.
