Bribery case—–Case will be withdrawn against Indian industrialist Gautam Adani.

SNE NETWORK.NEW DELHI.

Indian American lawyer Ravi Batra has made a big claim regarding the allegations leveled by the US on Indian industrialist Gautam Adani. He said that Donald Trump can withdraw the bribery case against Adani after becoming the President.

Ravi Batra said that every new president has a new team. Donald Trump, when elected as the 47th President, can neutralize any such lawsuits and cases that are based on resorting to law to target the opponent. Using the law to target one’s opponents negates the goal of the guarantee of equal protection of the law given by the US Federal Constitution.

He said that Gautam Adani can raise this issue with the Indian government and request that it talk to the Trump administration on this. If the criminal or civil charges are found to be baseless or faulty, President Trump’s new Justice Department and the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) can withdraw criminal and civil cases.

At the same time, the bribery charge against Adani is also related to the application of US laws outside the country. Because the Indian industrialist and other accused in the case do not live here. Trump will take oath as the new President of America on 20 January 2025.

These were the allegations

The US Justice Department had claimed in a New York court that veteran businessman Gautam Adani and other associates conspired to defraud investors for their own benefit. US prosecutors allege that between 2020 and 2024, Adani Company and its subsidiaries raised more than $200 million in bank loans from international financial institutions and US-based asset management companies.

Adani and his associates conspired to obtain and finance large-scale state energy supply contracts through corruption and fraud at the expense of American investors. He bribed Andhra Pradesh and Odisha government officials to buy expensive solar power. This could have earned the Adani Group a profit of more than two billion dollars over the next twenty years.
