In such a situation, the woman Sarpanch of Sheron Model Town village of Sunam district of Punjab has made a big announcement.
The war of Punjab government, the campaign against drugs has got a new edge from the area of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Aman Arora. The most important aspect is that this unique campaign has been started by a woman Sarpanch. Village Sheron Model Town is adjacent to the border of Sunam, 10 km away from Chief Minister Mann’s village Satauj. This village comes under Sunam assembly constituency. It is represented by Aman Arora. Woman Sarpanch Jaspreet Kaur has announced in the village that a cash reward of 11 thousand rupees will be given to the person who helps in catching the drug dealer.
In a special conversation, Sarpanch Jaspreet Kaur told that drug dealers from outside areas come to her village and deliver drugs. These dealers make drug deliveries here and there and disappear in the blink of an eye. This campaign has been launched to nab them. The name of the person giving information about the drug smuggler will be kept secret. Jaspreet Kaur said that this campaign started under the guidance of Chief Minister Mann and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora will yield meaningful results.
Let us tell you that on Saturday, the district police had claimed to have recovered drugs by conducting a large-scale raid in Sunam. Questions have been raised many times on Sunam regarding the business of chitta. State President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Ugrahan, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, has mentioned this on public platforms. The campaign started at the grassroots level by the woman Sarpanch to break this nexus of drugs is expected to yield meaningful results and there is a need to start such campaigns in villages, towns and wards of entire Punjab.

Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal said in his post that drug addiction has ruined a large number of our youth and children in Punjab. Those who sell drugs will not be spared. Drug addiction will be eradicated from Punjab forever.
