Several rounds of firing have taken place at an NRI’s house. However, there has been no loss of life in this incident. The incident took place at night in Adda Jaintipur, Amritsar. Three youths riding a bike fired several bullets at the house of NRI Sukhcharan Singh Bal and fled from the spot.
NRI Sukhcharan Singh Bal lives in Australia, but the accused had earlier demanded extortion from him. When he refused to give the money, firing was done at his house in Adda Jaintipur, Amritsar. This incident was carried out by members of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
ASI Rajinderpal Singh said that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s henchmen first threatened the NRI living in Australia in Adda Jaintipur over the phone and demanded extortion from him. After this, Bishnoi’s associates fired bullets outside the NRI’s house in Jaintipur.
The investigating officer said that on July 24, he received a complaint from Sukhcharan Singh Bal through an email. In the complaint, he said that he lives in Sydney. He has a house in Jaintipur, Amritsar. Sukhcharan Singh Bal received a WhatsApp call. The caller introduced himself as a member of the Bishnoi gang and demanded extortion from him. When Sukhcharan Singh Bal refused to give money, the accused also threatened to kill him. In this regard, he has already lodged a complaint with the Blacktown Sydney Police in Australia. The accused have fired at the house located in Adda Jaintipur on July 23. This incident has also been captured in CCTV.
