SNE NETWORK.LUDHIANA.

A month ago, in Ludhiana, Punjab, a passenger was thrown out of a moving train by some youths. Due to this, he was seriously injured. For about 1 month, the doctors had declared him unfit, due to which the police could not record his statement. But now when the injured passenger sent an e-mail from DMC Hospital, the GRP police have registered a case against unknown people.

According to the information, Tushar Thakur (23) was going from Jammu to Ahmedabad to give the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. Tushar is a resident of Greater Kailash, Jammu. Tushar was allegedly thrown out of a moving train near Ludhiana railway station because he had stopped some youths from smoking cigarettes inside the train.

Tushar has been admitted to the ICU of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for about 1 month. The lower part of his body has become paralyzed. Now he will not be able to walk for the rest of his life.

He said that my son’s SSB interview was to be held in Ahmedabad. He wanted to become an army officer. But now he will probably never be able to walk. His spine is broken. Veerendra said that my son had many dreams.

Earlier also he had cleared the written examination and interview for the Indian Air Force (IAF), but his passion was more towards the army. So he was giving it another try. We want strict punishment for those who have brought my son to bed.

Typed statement sent to police

In a typed statement to the police, Tushar wrote: “In the train, I went to the washroom, where three people including a turbaned man who looked to be of my age were sitting. They were smoking cigarettes. I asked them not to smoke inside the train. When I came out, three boys caught hold of me and pushed me off the moving train. I do not remember anything after the fall, but if I see those people I will recognize them… I was on ventilator for almost a month.

Even today, I have pipes in my nose and neck for food and oxygen support due to which my speech is limited but I am able to type properly. His bag which contained his educational certificates was also left in the train and has been lost, he added.

GRP Ludhiana Police Station SHO Inspector Jatinder Singh said that they are waiting for Tushar to regain consciousness and record his statement. We have now registered an FIR as the victim was not in a condition to record his statement. The doctors at DMCH had declared him unfit to record his statement. He has now sent us a written application and registered a case against unknown persons.
