The family of Satnam Singh, a resident of Brahmapura village in Punjab, has climbed the water tank for the second time. This time they have also taken petrol and matchboxes with them, which has caused a stir in the police and administration.
Bhola Singh and Manjit Kaur have been protesting in front of Satnam Singh’s house for the last one and a half months, but they have not yet got justice. Earlier, on September 1, social worker Bhana Sidhu intervened and brought them down from the tank, but the situation has become serious again.
Police and administration are not helping
The victim’s family alleges that the police and administration are not helping them. On the contrary, Satnam Singh has sent legal notices against 21 people including Bhana Sidhu, accusing them of threatening him and occupying personal property.
Fire brigade and medical team called at the spot
Incharge of Thana Sadar Raikot, Narinder Singh said that fire brigade and medical team have been called at the spot, and efforts are on to convince the couple. However, accused Satnam Singh and his family have refused to return the cheated amount.
Case in High Court, hearing will be on December 11
Victim Jaipal has filed a petition in Punjab-Haryana High Court to cancel the anticipatory bail of the accused family, which will be heard on December 11. Jaipal alleges that the accused family had cheated him of Rs 21 lakh by luring him to send his son to America.
