On Monday, masked miscreants entered an electronic shop on Circular Road in Kapurthala and attacked the youth working there with a chisel. The youth seriously injured in this incident has been admitted to the emergency ward of the civil hospital for treatment.
CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced. In which armed miscreants are seen entering the shop and openly attacking the youth. In this regard, City Thana-2 Urban Estate SHO Manjit Singh said that the accused are being searched after taking the CCTV footage in possession.
According to the information, 10-12 miscreants attacked and injured Suraj Kumar, a youth working at an electronic shop located at Masjid Chowk Circular Road, at around 3:30 pm. Injured Suraj has been admitted to the Civil Hospital by his fellow employees.
Attacked after entering the shop
Suraj Kumar, son of Des Raj, resident of Mohabbat Nagar, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, said that he works at Ghai Electronics located on Circular Road and two days ago he was installing speakers on a tractor. Then 10-12 youths entered the shop and attacked him with sharp weapons.
The accused will be identified on the basis of footage
The attack has also been captured in the CCTV installed in the shop. The duty doctor treating the injured has prepared the MLR and sent it to the City Thana Police. The police is investigating the matter. SHO of City Thana-2 Manjit Singh said that the accused are being identified on the basis of CCTV footage.
