Under the Punjab government’s campaign against drugs and drug smugglers in Bhulath area of ​​Kapurthala, Punjab, Sub Division Bhulath Police has taken major action in village Hamira in Police Station Subhanpur. Police has seized property worth Rs 63 lakh 51 thousand and Rs 36 lakh 2 thousand 928 of Balwinder Singh and Baldev Kaur alias Nikko, named under the NDPS Act, and has pasted a notice outside their house. Bhulath Police carried out this action at 2 pm.

Giving information to journalists in this regard, DSP Surinder Pal Dhogri and Subhanpur Police Station Chief Kanwarjit Singh Bal said that on 20 February 2020, alleged accused Balwinder Singh alias Bhunda of village Hamira was named in an old NDPS case. Accused Bhunda has a house worth Rs 63,51,000. A notice board has been put up outside his property. Apart from this, a case was registered against the alleged accused Baldev Kaur alias Nikko resident Hamira on 10 April 2020 under the NDPS Act.

A total of Rs 36,02,929 including his property motorcycle, house and bank balance was seized. Police believe that he has made this property by selling drugs and now he has no right over this property and now it is a government property, under which a notice has been pasted outside the house of both so that no one can sell it.
