Punjab government school teachers will go to Finland. 72 teachers of primary classes will be sent to Finland for training. The Punjab government has announced this on Tuesday. This training program will be of 3 weeks at the University of Turku, Finland. The Education Department has sought online applications from interested teachers and teachers will be selected on the basis of the applications received.

Earlier, the school principals of the state were sent to Singapore and later a training program for teachers was also held at IIM Ahmedabad. Next month a team of 72 teachers will leave for Finland. The selection process will be completed online.

According to the council, there should be no charge sheet, investigation or any kind of criminal case pending against the teachers who will apply. Apart from this, the candidate will also have to give 20 recommendations in support of good work along with his application, which should include recommendations of 10 current students and 10 old students. Eligible candidates will have to apply on the training link through e-Punjab ID, which will be verified by the District Education Officer on September 27. The link for application has been opened, which will remain open till September 26.
