AMRITSAR–Police arrested four vicious members of terrorist Jeevan FAUJI gang

District Rural Police has arrested four vicious members of terrorist Jeevan Fauji gang sitting abroad. The names of the accused are Ranjeet Singh Rana, Amandeep Singh resident of village Kalan Mod, Balbir Singh resident of village Mahawa, Harvinder Singh resident of Khasa. Police has also recovered five pistols, 10 cartridges and drug money worth Rs 1 lakh 17 thousand from these accused.

SSP Rural Charanjit Singh Sohal said that information was received about these accused. Taking action under this, the CIA staff team laid a trap. Ranjeet Singh alias Gan and Amandeep Singh alias Prince were arrested by the team due to blockade on Ram Teerth Road village Kalan Mod. .30 bore pistol, 10 cartridges and drug money worth Rs 1.5 lakh were recovered from these two accused on the spot. A case was registered against both of them at Kambo Police Station. On the basis of interrogation of these accused, Balbir Singh was arrested from village Mawa, from whom a bike and two 09 mm pistols and one .30 bore pistol, along with drug money worth twenty thousand rupees were also recovered.

Role in attack on police stations and police posts is being investigated

SSP Dehati said that on November 15, 2024, the police of Thana Gharinda recovered six cartridges from an abandoned Fortuner car. In this case, the police have now arrested Harvinder Singh alias Chamkaur Singh from Khasa Pul along with a 32 bore pistol. The SSP said that the accused Amandeep Singh and Ranjit Singh had direct contact with the Jeevan Fauji gang. The police have so far recovered a total of two 32 bore pistols, two 9 mm pistols, one 30 bore pistol, 10 cartridges, 1,17,000 drug money, two mobiles, one motorcycle and one scooty. At present, all of them are being interrogated. Also, efforts are being made to find out whether these accused have any role in the grenade attacks on police stations and posts.

Weapons come from Pakistan

SSP Dehati said that weapons and drugs are sent to these accused by smugglers sitting in Pakistan. These accused used to deliver it after getting orders from terrorist Jeevan Fauji. At present, investigation of the accused is going on.
