A horrific road accident has taken place in Batala, Punjab. Here a trolley loaded with straw collided with a Creta car. The accident was so terrible that the Creta car was blown to pieces. Five people have died in this accident. This accident happened in village Sekhwaan of Batala late on Wednesday night.
There was a tremendous collision between a trolley loaded with straw and a Creta car. Apart from this, the Creta car also collided with the I 20 coming from behind. Both the vehicles have been damaged. Out of the five people who died, three people were in the Creta, while one trolley driver and the other trolley driver’s assistant also died. At the same time, the people in the I 20 have been injured. Four people have been injured in the accident. The accident happened late on Wednesday night around 11 o’clock.
Giving information, DSP Hari Krishna and SHO of Thana Sekhwaan Rajwant Kaur said that on Wednesday late night, a trolley full of straw was climbing the road from a ramp near village Sekhwaan. Meanwhile, a Creta car coming from Batala collided with the trolley. After this, the Creta car collided with an i20 coming from Kadian. In this collision, Creta rider Surjeet Singh resident of village Panjgaraiyan, Rajesh Kumar resident Misharpura (both relatives) and Sawan Kumar resident Ghanshampur died. Apart from them, trolley driver Karan Kumar and Sarbjit resident of village Sekhwaan who was the assistant of the trolley driver also died.
Gurpreet Singh, Suresh Kumar, Ramesh Kumar and Mahinder Lal have been seriously injured in this accident. All three were riding in the i20 car. After primary treatment, all three have been discharged from the hospital.
