In Patiala, Punjab, a son brutally murdered his elderly father. On Sunday night, in Dalla Colony of village Dulladi in Nabha, a drunk son killed a 70-year-old man by hitting him on the head with a brick. During this, the mother somehow escaped and saved her life. Police have registered a case against the accused son Kuldeep Singh (45) on the basis of the family members’ statements. The deceased has been identified as Sahib Singh.
The accused Kuldeep Singh works in a factory near the village and is a victim of a bad habit of drinking alcohol. Due to this, there were frequent fights in his house. On Sunday night also, both father and son had a fight over drinking alcohol. At that time the accused was drunk.
The second son of the deceased Sahib Singh, Raj Singh, said that the accused Kuldeep Singh started abusing and then in anger, ran after his mother with a brick in his hand to hit her. The elderly mother somehow saved her life by running away, but later the accused killed his father by hitting him on the head with a brick.
Incharge of Police Station Sadar Nabha, Gurpreet Singh Samrao said that the accused son has committed this crime due to domestic discord. According to the police, the accused has also been injured in this attack and he is admitted in the hospital for treatment. The body of the elderly has been taken into custody and post-mortem has been done.
