Gyani Raghbir Singh, former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Chief Head Granthi of Sri Darbar Sahib, was misbehaved with by staff in Air India flight. Many people including him were taken off the flight. Gyani Raghbir Singh told that he was going to America with two other companions by Air India flight number AI 183 to attend Gurmat Samagam. The seats of business class were very bad and there was no cleanliness. When he complained about this, the Air India staff spoke rudely to him and many others. After this, many people including Gyani Raghbir came out of the plane in protest and sat in front of the terminal immigration.
When Minority Commission Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura got information about the incident, he immediately spoke to the Airport Authority and Air India officials. Lalpura says that action will be taken against the accused staff. At the same time, Padma Shri Congress MLA Pargat Singh has written on social media that this is condemnable.
Air India’s services are very poor
Singh Sahib said that he strongly condemns the services being provided by Air India in the name of business class and the behavior of their employees. He said – We are being harassed at the airport for the last three hours. Air India officials took the passports but did not contact again. Neither did we get our luggage back nor was any Air India official in contact. We have been sitting hungry and thirsty in front of the immigration counter for the last three hours, this is a very condemnable incident. Lalpura says that arrangements are being made to send Giani Raghubir Singh to the USA.
Dhami condemns misbehavior with Raghbir Singh
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the inappropriate behavior with Sri Harmandir Sahib’s chief Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh at Delhi International Airport. He said that the misbehavior by Air India employees with a highly respected and religiously important person of the Sikh community is disappointing.
