Shocking revelations are emerging in the case of two bomb blasts that occurred in a house in Jida village, Bathinda. On Thursday, SSP Amneet Kondal revealed that the accused, Gurpreet Singh, had been thinking of becoming a human bomb, and was preparing to make the bombs at his home. Sources also indicate that the accused was preparing to go to Jammu and fight against the Army, but the explosion while making the bombs thwarted his entire mission.

SSP Amneet Kondal stated that the accused Gurpreet Singh had used several chemicals to make the bombs. The investigation is ongoing. On Thursday, Army officers arrived at the accused’s home to investigate. In addition to the Punjab Police, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and the Army are also investigating the case. The Jammu Police is also investigating the case.

Police investigation revealed that the accused youth had ordered a belt with multiple pockets online and had also ordered all the materials and chemicals for making bombs online. The accused, Gurpreet Singh, has been arrested by the police. After his medical examination, he was produced in court and remanded to seven days’ custody.

According to sources, Jammu Police officers have interrogated the accused to determine who he intended to meet in Kathua, Jammu, and for what purpose. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed. Numerous videos related to terrorists have been recovered from the accused youth’s mobile phone. The youth’s obsession with making bombs stemmed from watching videos and listening to audio recordings of terrorists.

According to SSP Kondal, the accused youth was initially undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh. Doctors had advised his family not to leave him alone. Being alone at home caused him to become completely psychotic, leading him to start making bombs. His father, Jagtar Singh, was injured in the second blast at his home. Jagtar Singh was admitted to AIIMS, Bathinda. He has been referred from AIIMS to Faridkot for eye treatment.

According to sources, Gurpreet Singh had begun preparing to make a bomb using various chemicals. Had he succeeded, he could have carried out a major attack. The accused, Gurpreet, was originally studying law. When the police arrested him and began questioning him, he spoke very slowly.
