The long-standing AOA (Apartment Owners Association) election dispute at Shipra Krishna Vista Society in Indirapuram reached a turning point when the Election Officer issued the election schedule through letter number 131, dated June 22, 2026, announcing July 5, 2026 as the voting date. Following the announcement, the residents of the society were filled with excitement, with many hailing it as a victory for democratic rights and a long struggle.
The dispute had been ongoing for several months.
According to reports, the dispute regarding the AOA elections in the society had been ongoing for several months. Residents allege that the current AOA management attempted to delay or stall the election process at various administrative and legal levels. Numerous objections were also submitted to the Deputy Registrar, SDM, and other competent authorities.
However, the concerned authorities decided to proceed with the legal election process. Residents also allege that despite repeated notices issued by the Election Officer, the AOA management has not provided the society’s bylaws and voter list, and has even attempted to remove the government notice from the notice board.
The Society Should Be Governed in a Transparency and Accountability Manner
Many residents of the society argue that timely and fair elections in any apartment complex are not merely an administrative process, but a fundamental democratic right of apartment owners. They believe that the fundamental spirit of the Uttar Pradesh Apartment Act is to ensure apartment owners have the opportunity to elect their representatives and that the society should be governed in a transparent and accountable manner.
Residents Demand an Impartial Investigation and Action Against the Guilty
With the announcement of elections, the issue of transparency and financial accountability within the society has also come to the fore.
