A double murder case was reported on Wednesday in street number 7 of Avtar Nagar, Jalandhar. It is alleged that a young man brutally murdered his wife and father. The deceased have been identified as Ayodhya Prakash and his wife Savita, while the accused has been identified as Hira Lal.
Police seize both bodies
Upon receiving information about the incident, ADCP Rakesh Yadav and ACP Aatish Bhatia arrived at the scene with a police team. Police have seized both bodies and initiated investigation and legal proceedings. The accused fled the scene after committing the crime. Police have deployed separate teams to apprehend him.
The young man was a drug addict.
According to the police investigation, the elderly woman in the family was present on the first floor of the house at the time of the incident and has difficulty walking. Preliminary investigations have also revealed that there was a domestic dispute within the family prior to the incident. According to the police, the investigation also revealed that the accused was a drug addict. The police have registered a case and are searching for the accused and investigating the motive behind the double murder.
