The State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) achieved a great success. A consignment of illegal weapons from Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand was recovered from the bus stand. 3 criminals have been confirmed to have brought the consignment. In the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that this consignment was to be supplied to gangsters and anti-social elements. The alleged criminals caught, Sunny Masih, Satnam Singh, Manjit Singh, all are residents of Batala in district Gurdaspur. It has been confirmed that several criminal cases have been registered in the past. An officer informed that the mission was not so easy, but everything was successful due to mutual coordination. They can be produced in the court and a week’s judicial custody can be demanded. On the other hand, Punjab Police Director Dr. Gaurav Yadav congratulated all the members of the team that achieved success and praised their work. The DGP shared this information on his X account.

It has been learned that for some time, the business of the gang supplying illegal weapons was going on in the entire state. The youths who were running this business were from Gurdaspur district. When the State Special Operation Cell team was given the responsibility of this mission, a special team got busy with the work. The team, taking the help of latest technology and sources, blocked the bus stand area of Amritsar. When the team saw 3 suspects, they were taken into custody for interrogation. When strict interrogation began, they revealed many secrets to the team. On their information, the team recovered a huge cache of ultra-modern illegal weapons from a place.
The interrogation revealed that this gang has been operating for a long time. Weapons were supplied from Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. Further, they were sold to gangsters and anti-social people at high prices. To avoid suspicion, money was also taken through hawala. At present, there is no confirmation of this. It is being told that the gang has roots in foreign countries as well. The team is interrogating the people involved to find out. It is being claimed that in the coming days, big people can also be arrested.
Big question—–How did the weapons keep coming?
A big question is also being raised about how illegal weapons keep coming to Punjab from other states, because, there is a police blockade everywhere. If weapons are being brought through vehicles, then why has the police not caught them, or they are being released after paying money. Somewhere, the question is also being raised that some people in the police system have been helping them. Now the team is finding out about them, it is being told that whoever is found guilty during the investigation, no one will be spared.
Who is sitting abroad running this gang?
It has been found that this gang has links with foreign countries as well. The names of some people are coming out in the investigation. However, the investigation team is not making their names public citing hindrance in the investigation. Departmental sources have revealed that some terrorists and gangsters sitting abroad are running a big network. The alleged criminals who have been caught are mere pawns in his hands.
