Senior Journalist.Amritsar.
The sixth river of DRUG is flowing in the red flat of C-Block located in Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar. In families living around 100, 30 percent of the youth have become addicted to ‘DRUG’. Since last year till now, 3 youths have lost their lives. The police are openly flouting the guidelines of the High Court and the State Government. Allegations have been made that despite the names of smugglers being registered with the police, no major action was taken. Social worker Amandeep Kaur, who raised her voice against Chitta (DRUG) on social media, has clearly cornered the police and made the copy of the written complaint given to the police officials viral. It is surprising that till now the police have not taken any action against the smugglers. On the other hand, senior police officers are not giving their open statements on this issue. He is evading the matter by citing that he is busy in the meeting.

Complaint social worker woman Amandeep Kaur said that she has been raising her voice against drug addiction for the last 8 years. Many have been pulled out of the quagmire of drug addiction. She has been living in C-Block Lal Flat of Ranjit Avenue since 2016. Three years ago his son got trapped in the quagmire of drug addiction. Sent to a de-addiction center to get rid of drug addiction. Two smugglers openly sell drugs in their area. All the residents of the area know this very well. Even gave written complaints against him to the police several times. But, the police did not take any major action against anyone. These people gave his son a drug vaccine and made him addicted. The son was removed from this work several times. But, these smugglers are ruining his son’s life.
Took my son with me a few days ago. She had gone out for some work. When I came home, I saw that my son was lying unconscious on the ground. There was a drug vaccine nearby. A complaint was immediately lodged with the police. Ranjit Avenue police reached the spot. The police were clearly told by everyone that the drug was administered by the smugglers. As per rules, their names and identities were revealed. The police have not arrested anyone yet. Drugs are being sold openly. Children’s lives are being ruined. Within a year, 3 youths have lost their lives. All those who died were 20-25 years old.

Complaint to Police Commissioner…still no action taken
The surprising thing is that social worker woman Amandeep Kaur sent a complaint in writing on the contact number of the District Police Commissioner. From time to date it is clearly visible. In response, the name of the woman was asked on the Commissioner’s Whats-app number. Despite all this, the police have not yet taken action against anyone. The incident is said to have taken place on January 17.

ongoing treatment in hospital
It is being told that the son of a social worker woman is undergoing treatment at the drug de-addiction center (hospital) in Ludhiana. Now his circumstances are said to be better. According to the woman, her son was very promising, but he was spoiled by bad company. The police completed the remaining work. Many times he was put in jail on false charges of selling drugs. Fought for justice for him in the court for many years. The court acquitted him. Doing open study in 12th class.
Know what is the order of the court and government
There have been many deaths due to drug addiction in Punjab in recent times. The Punjab government is very strict on the decision of the Supreme Court. It has been learned that in the new order it is clearly written that if drugs are sold in an area, the police in-charge of that area will be responsible. But, drugs are being sold openly in Ranjit Avenue. The question arises whether this rule does not apply at all to the police station in-charge of this area. Or the police officers know everything and are deliberately protecting their station in-charge.

Ranjit Avenue C-Block is not my area. By the way, where are drugs being sold? I am busy in the meeting at this moment, I will call you again when I am free. No call came later.
Varinder Khosa…Assistant Commissioner…Northern Region.
Calls were made to his contact number several times. The ring was going, but he did not pick it up once.
