Amul butter, especially 8-10 grams of Amul, which has become a household name in the country and the world, is being black-marketed extensively. Furthermore, distributors are resorting to plunder under the guise of smallness. The matter has reached the District Magistrate. He has taken strict cognizance of the entire matter and formed a team. He says that if anyone is caught doing this, legal action will be taken against them. However, the surprising fact is that the company is unaware of this loot and black-marketing. Consequently, speculation is rife that some of the company’s officials and distributors are running this racket.

For the past few days, various teams of SNE News reporters have been working on the ground to investigate complaints about this racket. When, based on the complaints, various team reporters approached various distributors posing as ordinary customers and inquired about the packaging of 8-10 Amul butter packets, they cited the shortage as an excuse. However, after repeated requests, they were offered the butter on the condition that it would be sold for ₹650, above the MRP (₹630). This was the case with almost all distributors.

Meanwhile, several shopkeepers selling Amul butter products expressed their anguish, stating that they had been requesting 8-10 grams of butter from distributors for the past month, but were always turned away using the shortage as an excuse. They alleged that the distributors were deliberately selling the butter at a higher price to ordinary customers, thus making a substantial profit. In such a situation, the average customer is returning disappointed because they are unable to get butter from them (the shop-keeper).

The butter is running low. Previously, the company would supply 50-100 boxes a week. Now, only 5 boxes are available. There is no black marketing. This is completely false. We only supply to hotels and restaurants. Someone is selling it for 650 rupees in the market, but we have no idea. — Bansal Traders (Amul Butter).

There is rampant black marketing of butter. Plastic is not coming from the back. We are selling it to customers at the MRP. Brother, who are you to question us? Are you a judge of us? We can sell it for whatever we want… Arjun Traders – Amul Distributor.

The butter is not coming from the back. This butter comes from Gujarat. Our head office is in Gujarat. Plastic is not coming due to the Iran-Israel-US war. There’s absolutely no point in black marketing. Everyone is given a bill. If anyone has a complaint, they should present it to us. Butter hasn’t been arriving for the last 20 days. In Amritsar, there are 5-6 Amul distributors. These include companies like Best Price, Walmart, National Traders, and Amul butter distributors.

FIRs should be filed against those involved in black marketing.

First of all, nothing is pure these days. Butter is adulterated. This has been confirmed numerous times in research. Furthermore, such products are being black marketed, which is a matter of shame for the government and administration. We should ask what these people are doing and why no action is being taken. FIRs should be filed directly against those involved in black marketing. They should not be spared at all. Swami Meghnath, social worker and head of the Dera Bhagwan Valmiki Bhagwan, Amritsar.

Black marketers should be ashamed, because no one can stomach such money. Moreover, selling Amul butter, a favorite in India and abroad, above the MRP is a fraud on the country and society. The only solution is to take the strictest legal action against them. These people are playing a cruel joke on the poor. Therefore, a law must be passed against them to teach them a lesson not to repeat such mistakes in the future. Senior Congress leader… Girish Sharma.

JASMEET KAUR

Our family played a crucial role in the country’s independence. We liberated India by sacrificing our lives. However, it is very sad that some people are currently harming others for their own benefit. Amul butter is a favorite of every mother and her child. Therefore, black marketing this product is a serious crime. The police and the government must take strict action against these people. They must all be caught and imprisoned, only then will there be any improvement in black marketing. Bibi Jasmeet Kaur, a female member of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh family.

GURNAM SINGH

Sir, I’ve been selling kulchas for the past 30 years. Before that, my late father worked there. We serve Amul butter with each customer’s kulcha. However, the sad thing is that they are getting Amul butter at a higher price than the MRP. This is a form of injustice to them, but they are forced to buy it at this time. I appeal to the Bhagwant Mann government to take strict action against those who black-market Amul butter. Channan Kulcha Wala… Gurnam Singh (Chaugawa).

BUNTY

I was fond of eating Amul butter since childhood. I have been making Kulchas for the last 2 years. Every customer demands Amul butter with Kulchas. But, butter has been made so expensive and cheap that now it is becoming difficult for them to do this work. But, the compulsion is that after leaving this work they do not have any option.
