Punjab Police has arrested two drug smugglers near the India-Pakistan border in Ferozepur. Police have recovered 6.655 kg heroin and drug money worth Rs 6 lakh from the accused. DGP Gaurav Yadav has given this information by posting on his social media account. He said that the police is investigating the matter. Big revelations are expected soon.

Heroin was packed in packets

According to the police, the accused have been caught by the CIA staff. The seized heroin and cash were packed in packets. However, for the last few days, weapons and heroin are being caught daily in the border districts. Police have also seized a lot of goods in Amritsar area.

Preparations to install AI cameras in border areas

To stop the smuggling of drugs and weapons in the border districts of Punjab, the government has started work towards installing AI-equipped cameras. This project is running for about 40 crores. During this time 30 thousand cameras will be installed. These cameras are being installed mainly in six districts. It is expected that this project will be completed soon. After this the police will be able to get proper information about the movements happening in the border area. After which the police will be successful in arresting the accused.
