After 3 decades, the shocking pictures of the flood situation in Punjab have created one thing in everyone’s mind that no one is above nature (God, Waheguru). If we play with them in any way, then perhaps the circumstances can be even more terrible or adverse. But, even in these difficult circumstances, by showing some humanity, by providing help to the flood-affected families, an example of noble humanity is being set.
Among them, Gurinderpal Singh Sodhi (by profession a sub-teacher (despite being promoted as vice principal) of Pawan Nagar Galia in Amritsar, Punjab is providing relief to the flood-affected people by spending money from his own pocket. Sodhi is setting a new example for the society by doing such work. According to him, he has formed an NGO, through which relief kits were distributed to 500 people in the flood-affected areas of Ajnala, Ramdas on Monday.

The important thing is that 500 kits were prepared on Sunday with the help of Sodhi and his brother Harpreet Singh, who lives in America. According to him, the kit contained 2 bottles of water, 2 sandwiches, 6 bananas, 1 rusk packet, 1 biscuit packet, 1 small double roti. This relief material was distributed in half a dozen small villages near village Awan on Monday. The interesting aspect was that some of the affected families had tears in their eyes. Tears of joy were also seen in him, because, they were in dire need of relief material.

Sodhi said that Waheguru has his full blessings on him. His family is very happy. He will continue the work of delivering relief material to different villages in future as well. To avoid any kind of irony, the entire blueprint of the work has already been prepared. Many people from abroad are also helping us financially.

According to Sodhi, his father, wife and children give him a lot of support in this work. In the past, he and his NGO have done a lot of work in emergency situations. This time, before distributing the relief material, his team of half a dozen worked day and night. For this, he himself stood shoulder to shoulder with his team. According to him, anyway no work can be done without the support of the team.
