Here the sensation spread because of the double murder. The case pertains to Meeke village under Tehsil Batala of Gurdaspur district in Punjab. It is being told that the couple was alone at home during the incident. It has come to light that the son is abroad. It is learned that the couple did not pick up anyone’s phone for the last 2 days. On suspicion, broke open the lock of the house and found inside that the dead bodies of husband and wife were lying soaked in blood. Police took the bodies into custody. On the statement of the nephew of the deceased, a case was registered against the unknown. At present, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area after this incident.
Zorawar Singh, nephew of deceased Lashkar Singh told that his uncle Lashkar Singh was a former BSF personnel. Aunt Amrik Kaur was a housewife. Manpreet Singh (cousin) lives in Dubai. He got a call from Manpreet that he has been calling his family members for the last 2 days but no one is answering his calls. Zorawar Singh told that when he went to the house, he saw that it was locked from outside.
Broke the lock of the house in the presence of Panchayat
Late in the night, when he again went to his uncle’s house at around 11 o’clock, he still found the lock hanging. On the basis of suspicion, calling the village panchayat and breaking the lock of the house, the dead bodies of uncle Lashkar Singh and aunt Amrik Kaur were lying in the room. Someone has brutally murdered him. Zorawar Singh said that looking at the condition of the dead bodies, it seems that they were murdered about 2 days ago.
Investigation continues, help of CCTV is being taken
