Jalandhar Rural Police of Punjab has busted a gang bringing weapons from Madhya Pradesh. The rural police has arrested five miscreants. The five accused were in contact with gangster Sonu Khatri and Sorav Gujjar gang sitting in America. They had to kill the henchmen of their rival gang in Hoshiarpur and Adampur. However, earlier the said accused were arrested by Jalandhar Rural Police.
The police have recovered a total of five weapons from the accused. The arrested accused have been identified as Shiv Dayal alias Billa resident of Hoshiarpur, Jaswinder Singh alias Kala resident of Adampur, Haljit Singh alias Gora, Chandra Shekhar alias Pandit resident of Hoshiarpur and Gurwinder Singh alias Suchha alias Gindu resident of Kapurthala.
Weapons were ordered from America
According to the information received, the order of weapons was given by the kingpin sitting in America. The accused themselves brought the weapons from Madhya Pradesh. After interrogating the accused, the police produced them in the court and took them on remand. According to the information received, the police of Phillaur police station arrested the accused near Phillaur on the basis of secret information. A case has been registered against the accused in Phillaur police station.
Investigation continues on the link of Madhya Pradesh
Let us tell you that the police has started investigation on the linkage of arms suppliers of Madhya Pradesh. In the preliminary investigation, it has been found that the accused had only taken delivery of the weapons, the money for the said weapons was also sent directly to the supplier from abroad.
The police have recovered 4 pistols, 8 live rounds, 8 magazines, one country-made pistol, one live round and two bikes from the accused. All the material was to be used by the accused in the crime. Kala and Gora have one case of robbery registered against them earlier.
