The farmers, unhappy with the police action, staged a sit-in outside the police station…….then went and filed an FIR.
Warning…if the alleged criminals are not behind bars in 1 week, there will be protests all over Punjab–Sarwan Singh Pandher.

A farmer took a dangerous step in the case of crop theft by commission agents. He tried to end his life by drinking poison. He is struggling for life in the emergency ward of the hospital in a critical condition. The doctors have described the farmer’s condition as very critical. The case is related to village Talwandi Dasaudha Singh under police station Kathunangal area of District Amritsar, Punjab. The police were accused of not taking any action on the farmer’s complaint earlier. Due to this, the farmer attempted self-immolation.
On Saturday morning, hundreds of farmers protested outside the police station under the leadership of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee President Sarwan Singh Pandher. After this, the police registered a criminal case against a total of 3 people including the commission agent. At present, no one could be arrested. The farmers’ organization warned that if the criminals are not caught within 1 week, then there will be a struggle in the entire state. The government and administration will be responsible for this.
What was the whole matter. Know in a special report……?
Actually, farmer Savinder Singh had taken 7 acres of land on contract from commission agents Harjinder Singh and Lakhwinder Singh of village Talwandi Dasodha Singh. The farmer harvested the crop grown on 5 acres of land 2 days ago, while on the night of April 24, the said commission agents along with another partner stole the crop grown on 2 acres of land. When the farmer saw this, he immediately went to the concerned police station Kathunangal police with a written complaint. The police did not listen to the farmer. Disappointed, the farmer swallowed poison on Saturday early morning. The family took him to the hospital, where the doctors are saying that his condition is critical.
Farmer leader said something big
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that something very bad has happened to the farmer. The middlemen have cheated him and stolen the crop. If the police had taken action earlier, then perhaps the farmer would not have been forced to commit suicide. I know that the police administration and the middlemen will also put pressure to compromise with the victim farmer. But the victim’s family should not panic, the organization is standing with them, those who have committed the crime will be punished. If the police do not catch the criminals soon, then the movement will continue in the whole of Punjab.
A big question arises on the police administration
If the victim farmer had given a complaint to the police, then why did the police take it lightly? Why was legal action not taken first? Perhaps if action was taken earlier, the farmer would never have committed suicide. This proves that the police was waiting for some big incident to happen before taking legal action. According to the constitution and law, this is absolutely wrong. In such a situation, legal action should be taken against the police officers and employees who were negligent, so that they do not commit such a mistake in future.
The government will have to take a big step
The Chief Minister of the state Bhagwant Mann will have to take the issues of the farmers very seriously. Because, for a long time, Punjab has many legitimate demands, which the government has not yet accepted. Due to this, there is a lot of anger among the farmers against the government. Regarding today’s case, the victim’s family also demanded justice from the Chief Minister of the state. According to them, strict action should be taken against the responsible police officers and employees, so that in future no farmer has to commit suicide again.

The case has been registered…..at present no one has been arrested
Police station in-charge SHO Satpal Singh said that a criminal case has been registered against a total of 3 people on the statement of the victim’s family. As of now, no one has been arrested. All are absconding, different teams are continuously raiding their hideouts to catch them. They will be caught soon.
