The Health Department’s food sampling team raided a laddu (karare) manufacturing factory. They collected two samples and issued a challan. It is reported that the laddus (karare) were being made in a heap of filth. Their quality standards were found to be very low. The samples were sent to the laboratory for testing. If the samples fail, there are provisions for both heavy fines and punishment. This information was confirmed by Health Officer Dr. Manjit Singh Ratol. The factory is located in Krishna Nagar.

The Health Department has launched a special campaign due to the festive season. As part of this campaign, samples of all food items are being collected. Because of the recent rise in adulterated products sold in the market, many people are falling victim to deadly diseases, and some have even lost their lives. Therefore, the department is not sparing those selling substandard products. It is being reported that within a month, the department raided over 100 food and beverage manufacturing factories and collected samples.
No one will be spared – Dr. Manjeet Singh Ratol
We are continuously checking and raiding food and beverage manufacturing factories and shops. Every standard is being scrutinized. Many have been challaned and sampled. These samples have been sent to the laboratory. Many have received adverse results, and departmental action has been taken against them. I am confident that the court will punish them with the harshest punishment. Those selling unhygienic goods should listen carefully to me: either reform yourself or be prepared for strict action. I will not spare them under any circumstances.###UK###CANADA###USA###PUNJAB###AMRITSAR###HEALTH###AUSTRALIA###NEWZEALAND###SINGAPORE###
