It has been said in the notice that Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi, Chairman of Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Pakistan, is a patriot. He is honest towards the country and Islam. So that the common people can get benefit.
The language of the report presented in the court is wrong
Qureshi’s notice states that Majeed had used extremely wrong and objectionable language in his report presented in the Lahore High Court in November. The former Pakistani army officer had called Bhagat Singh a terrorist during the hearing of the case related to renaming Lahore’s Shadman Chowk to Bhagat Singh in the High Court.
He also told that the Pakistan government has canceled the plan to change the name of the Chowk and install the statue. Also, the foundation had decided to fight a legal battle in this matter. The hearing of the case related to this will be held on January 17.
India has expressed objection
As soon as this matter came to light, the Punjab government on behalf of India had strongly objected to it. Along with this, the central government was demanded to raise this matter before the government of Pakistan. After this, the Government of India raised this matter before the government there.
On the other hand, a few days ago, Poonch House was opened for the people. All the things dedicated to the life of Bhagat Singh were displayed here. The trial against Bhagat Singh was held at this place.
