After America, now the UK government has started taking strict measures. The files of 71 thousand refugees will be cancelled and they will be sent back to their country. The government has tightened the rules, making it almost impossible for a refugee coming to the UK by a small boat to become a British citizen.
The new guidelines state that anyone who enters the UK illegally by making a dangerous journey, which can be through boat but can also be by hiding in a vehicle, will be denied citizenship, no matter how much time has passed. The strict measures have made it clear that anyone who enters the UK illegally, his British citizenship application will be rejected.
Illegal intruders are being sent back during the tenure of Trump-2 in America. Preparations are underway to send back five lakh people from Canada as well. At the same time, now the UK has also started tightening the noose on illegal people. A rule has been made that those who come to the UK illegally will not get citizenship for life.
Earlier, refugees coming through irregular routes had to wait for 10 years before being considered. Under UK law, entering the country without permission is now a crime, while international law says that refugees should not be punished for illegal entry. The Refugee Council estimates that the guidance will prevent at least 71,000 refugees from obtaining British citizenship. This also includes a large number of Indians, who have managed to enter the UK by boat with a European visa. Kirpal Singh, a resident of the UK, says that the number of Punjabis who have come illegally with the dream of becoming UK citizens is also not less.
